"Celebrate Fruit of the Vine"
Paintings and Collages by Pauline Rakis
August 28 - September 30, 2018
Saturday, September 8 From 2-4 PM
Pauline Rakis celebrates the joys of the grape with her exhibition, “Fruit of the Vine”. She says, “It is amazing how the humble grape becomes one of the most enjoyed and appreciated beverages. It makes an appearance at every celebration of happiness and joy. It can be red, white, rose, sparkling – something for everyone. From weddings and grand events to friends meeting to reminisce and share stories, each gathering is enhanced when we raise a glass or two with each other.”

Pauline brings an element of discovery to her paintings. Laying down shapes and colors, usually with acrylic paint, often unveils unexpected images in her landscape, still life and seascape works. Some of her paintings are representational while others are impressionistic. She often uses tinted tissue paper in her collage pieces. She has been featured in several solo shows and many group shows on the East Coast and has won numerous awards for her work.
Over 20 other artists are on display at Artists' Gallery.
