"Real and Imagined"
Watercolor Paintings by Joyce Bell
October 2 - October 28, 2018
Saturday, October 6 From 3-5 PM
The images for Joyce's show are mostly floral with some figurative and still life work. Bell commented, “As I was planning for this show, I thought about the images that influenced my choices over the past 25 years. I realized my garden and its beautiful flowers were always calling to me. Walking along the garden path with friends and watching all the wondrous little critters has always brought me joy, so it’s no surprise I would choose these things to enlighten my paintings. I love drawing real images but I prefer to choose my own imagined colors and surrounding elements for enhancement. I hope visitors who see these paintings feel the joy I do.“
