Gene finds pure joy in turning, texturing and sculpting reclaimed wood into art that's as fun as it is beautifully crafted. He's always pushing the boundaries, experimenting with profiles, finishes, and colors to create pieces that range from earthy and soulful to bright, functional, and downright playful. You'll find everything from statement pieces to eye-catching bowls and Pop Art inspired creations. Gene's primary shop is in Ellicott City, Maryland, a proud member of the American Association of Woodturners and splits his time between the Chesapeake Woodturners in Annapolis, Maryland, and the San Diego Woodturners in California – a true "bicoastal" woodturning enthusiast, thanks to his daughters!
