Amanda Milliner is an award winning Contemporary Impressionist. She paints in a representational style from life; both outdoors ‘en plein air’ and in her home studio in Severn, MD. The artist is known for her use of vibrant colors and striking light effects in her still lives, landscapes, and figure work. Amanda uses thick, impasto paint applied with a combination of brushes and palette knife. She often paints her subject in a single sitting using an alla prima painting technique. Inspired by the world around her, Amanda strives to describe everyday scenes with her own impressions of color and light.
Bursting with color, Karen Wallace's abstract work centers around maintaining strict geometry and sharp lines in a material that only bonds when it's heated to a liquid state. She creates kiln-formed glass bowls in brilliant colors and complex designs for people who love vibrant color and luscious lines. Often featuring hundreds of strips of glass or sections of hand pulled cane, her work is time-consuming and meticulous.
