Growing up in the mountains of West Virginia provided me opportunities to experience the wonders and bounty of the natural world. During my junior year in college I discovered my calling. Landscape Architecture and Horticulture became my passion. Combining the elements of design and the natural world was a perfect career choice.
My interest in design and natural colors, patterns, shapes and textures has always influenced my art and photography. In addition to natural imagery my other interest include people within their personal environment and architecture. I have always gravitated to alternative image processes to take my photographs to a different place. Currently my art has migrated to hand pulled pigment image transfers on wooden panels and gold and silver leaf backed images on vellum and many other alternative image processes.
