John J. Stier

John Stier is a retired software developer and has lived in Columbia, MD since 1988. He has had the good fortune to travel extensively within the United States and to visit locales in four different continents. John also loves to hike, backpack and ski (downhill and cross country). These activities give him the opportunity to witness settings that many do not get to see.
Photography provides a medium for him to share these experiences with others. The intention is to capture some of the sense of being someplace special. In travels to cities and other more accessible venues, it is still a goal to portray the experience of being there. The challenge is to do so in an artistically pleasing manner.
