Workshop with Nishita Jain – Landscapes: Working with Photographs

Learn the best practices for cutting through the clutter and distilling the scene when preparing the drawing for your composition.

The workshop will enable beginner and intermediate artists select the reference photograph with confidence and make adjustments in their thumbnail sketches to distill the essence of the scene. They will also learn to draw with more precision.

Methodology: Lecture, demos, and hands-on exercises.

Plein Air Class with Chris Rapa

In this course, accomplished plein air painter Chris Rapa will guide you through the selection of equipment and tools, setup, materials required, and strategies for successful outdoor painting. Whether working in oil, acrylic or gouache, a bit of planning and practice can make plein air painting a uniquely enjoyable experience.
