Mosaic artist Lisa Scarbath has enjoyed a standout season of recognition on regional and national stages. In November, she was invited to join 68 juried artists at the 54th annual Waterfowl Festival in Easton, Maryland, a long-running event that has raised more than $6 million for wildlife conservation and education.
Earlier that month, Lisa traveled to Orlando for the 25th annual Society of American Mosaic Artists (SAMA) conference, where her Harford 250 community mosaic was selected for the prestigious Mosaic Arts International: Timeless Mosaics exhibition. One of just nine site-specific works chosen, it is on view through December 7, 2025, at the Albin Polasek Museum and Sculpture Gardens.
Lisa also served as a featured speaker at the SAMA conference, sharing the stories behind her large-scale community mosaics for Ellicott City and Harford County’s 250th anniversaries. Her Ellicott City piece includes more than 80 contributed objects and is currently displayed at 8095 Main Street.
Together, these milestones highlight Lisa’s growing national presence and her unique ability to weave community voices into lasting works of art.
