New Artistic Endeavors and Triumphs

Nishita Jain's painting 'Early Winter Snow' has been recognized with the second place award in Watercolor Art Society - Houston's 47th International Watermedia Exhibition. The acclaimed watercolor artist and juror of awards, Vlad Yeliseyev, appreciated her painting with the following words:

"Museum quality piece. The composition of colors evokes the feeling of early winter. This painting depicts nature as given by God. This is so hard to do. Absolutely stunning."

Diane Dunn's "Fox in Winter" was juried into the Art League show for April,

Her collage "Beneath the Sea" has been juried into the Laurel Art Guild show.

Works by mosaic artist, Lisa Scarbath, will be featured in a three-month exhibit at the LB Bistro & Bakery at the Lord Baltimore Hotel. The opening reception for "Art in Good Taste" will be held Wednesday, April 3rd from 5-7pm at 20 W Baltimore Street.

Lisa revealed the Harford250 Public Art Mosaic, "Rooted in History, Lighting the Way to the Future" (see image below) on March 23rd to close out a year-long celebration of Harford County's 250th anniversary. The mosaic consists of 4 3'x5' panels depicting images representing the history of Harford County.

John Stier's 'The Wave II' was accepted in the April Juried Show at the Art League Gallery in the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, VA.
