Nishita Jain’s watercolor painting, Silent Vigil, has been selected for a prestigious honor as part of the Baltimore Watercolor Society’s From Pigment to Pixels all-member online exhibition, juried by Elaine Florimonte.
This award recognizes Silent Vigil as one of only four paintings to be featured on the Baltimore LED Billboard, located at 1700 North Charles Street, showcasing the delicate beauty of watercolor in an innovative and dynamic setting. This public display provides a unique opportunity for Nishita's work to reach a broader audience, extending beyond traditional gallery spaces.
In addition to this public recognition, Silent Vigil will also be highlighted on the Baltimore Watercolor Society’s feature page for exhibition award winners. This feature will share the story behind the painting, which captures quiet emotion and an intricate play of light, elements that hold a special significance for Nishita and her artistic journey.
